HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (8/24/17)

Objectives: I can investigate and analyze the growth of pattern (I can collect and analyze data with tables and graphs).

Procedure:
1. 1) Put sticky note for parking lot questions, please. Any signature slip / Student Inventory? (1P: Sofia, Josh, Sheiry / 3P: Jack) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (3P) One signature slip? Correction (CPM Homework Help link). Calculators are allowed on most assessment.  2) Introduce Learning Pyramid. 3) Answer & Check H/W problems.  Collect your homework.  4) Clarify 2 similar problems.

2.  Group work: work on 3 activities (A, B, C).

3.  If time is available, work on homework for today.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/24/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend consonants and vowels. 2) I can learn the significance of major cities in China through viewing a video clip.
Homework: Review learned syllables for dictation / sounding out tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one “bpmf/gkhg” handout. Open House tonight. (Ian, Jadon, Zach, Jesse, Isabel, Sofia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. WL PLC meeting today => No E/I tutoring today (Ms. Chang e-mailed 7 E/I students an audio file for greeting terms already). Ms. Chang will e-mail the entire class of students an audio file for b/p/m/f section this afternoon.
2) Captains check completion of China Reading packet. Go over answer key. 3) Introduce simulation of 4 tones
2. 1) Video clip: Beijing 2) Go over b section. Model tomorrow’s in class activity. Pair practice.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (8/24/17)

Objectives: 1) I can work independently or in pairs to gain geographic knowledge about China. 2) I can say simple greetings terms.
Homework: 1) Review 11 learned terms.  2) China reading packet is your homework for today if you cannot complete it in class today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (zao, zao an, ni zao, zao shang hao, wu an, wan an).
2. Independent / pair work (China reading packet).
