Procedures for 9/8/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (9/8/17)

Objectives: I can review for chapter one summative test.
Homework: 1) Pages 39-41 CL 1-83 to CL 1-91 (does not count for grade!!). 2) Chapter One Team Test: Monday, 9/11.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. (1P: Marco; 3P: Brian) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check H/W. Collect. 3) Quiz #4.

2. 1) Resource Managers get copies of Chapter One Closure worksheet. Closure WS (CL 1-83 to 1-91) + enrichment (for candy). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/8/17)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of bpmf/dtnl consonants. 2) I can say and recognize numbers between zero and one hundred.
Homework: 1) Review for Lesson One chapter test (Tuesday, 9/12). 2) Character writing assignment. 3) Know all learned 16 characters for reading task next Monday. 4) Very solid with Chinese numbers from zero to one hundred in terms of pronunciation!! 5) Quiz #5 (phone number dictation and number conversions)
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take one copy of gkhjqx handout. New captain? Links to audio files, Lesson Three character animation, and flash cards are attached to VC Resources tab already. Come at E/I to complete your sounding out loud task for quiz today, please. 2) Go over ‘g’ and ‘k’ sections. 3) Teach (加, 减,等于). 4) Quiz #4.

2. Speaking task <=> Pair activity (review, sounding out loud, …).

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/8/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say / write simple Chinese numbers. 2) I can reinforce my retention of Chinese numbers through music. 3) I can play Rock, Scissors, and Paper game in Chinese. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers, and Noodles.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review 18 learned characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (15 characters). (Logan P.) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Teach characters (八, 九, 十).
2. 1) Audio file / Video clip: Chinese numbers. 2) Culture reading: Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers + Finger Guessing Game. 3) Game time. 4) Video clip: Noodles.
