Procedures for 9/12/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I  Class (9/12/17)

Objectives: I can prepare myself to ace my chapter test.

Homework: Chapter One Individual Test Review worksheet is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Turn in your Lesson One Closure paper, please. 2) (1P: Amir, Michael, Mia, Marco, Sheiry; 3P: Christian, Breanna, Brian, Carly, Caroline) talk to Ms. Chang, please. There is a link on the HS Portal Page to Registration Gateway for emergency medical information, that could be use in claims of Medical Negligence Compensation. If you have it in athletics and/or band, you still have to do it for the high school. 3) Team test correction / review time. 4) Complete your review worksheet (study guide) + questions.

2. 1) Go over answer key to Chapter One study guide. 2) Desmos activity. 3) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/12/17)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing geographic and historical knowledge about China. 2) I can gain listening and reading fluency through flash cards and listening drills.
Homework: 1) Know 16 characters solidly (12 numbers + 4 operators). 2) Connecting the Dots worksheet is due on Thursday, 9/14/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take one copy of Lesson Three reading passages + one copy of Connecting the Dots worksheet. (Faith, Sofia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Go over confusing statements (publications, calligraphy, writing characters) + definitions of administrative units.

2. 1) Lesson One chapter test <=> 2) Individual work: practice reading text passages + tone drill games + review (‘g’, ‘k’, ‘h’, ‘j’ sections). 3) Pair work: dice + math flash cards practice + dictation.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (9/12/17)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test tomorrow. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China.
Homework: 1) 20 character writing assignment is due tomorrow. 2) Unit #2 test (20 characters): tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. (Julien, Logan D.) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Quick review (20 characters). Take one copy of oral presentation handout. 2) Unit #2 pretest. 3) Go over oral presentation handout. 4) Teach (sui). Write sentences #1 / #2.
2. 1) Showcase artifacts (embroidery work + silk cocoons + newspaper article). 2) Video clip: The Great Wall of China.
