HS 1P Algebra I Class (9/18/17)

Objectives: I can use slope triangles to compare the relative steepness of lines and to build intuition about positive, negative, and zero slopes.
Homework: 1) Section 2.1.3 Page 57 (#2-31 to #2-35). 2) Quiz #5 (Function, Domain, Range): Monday, 9/25/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Collect Chapter One test papers. (Matt, Lily, Josh, Sheiry) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check H/W. Collect. 3) Motivational Monday (Constitution Day). 4) Go over common mistake (#2-8).

MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/18/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 2) I can comprehend and write sentences about math equations.
Homework: 1) Quiz #6 (g k h j q x + reading 2 phone numbers): Wednesday, 9/20/17. 2) Quiz #7 (zh ch sh r c s z): Friday, 9/29/17. 3) Lesson Three chapter test: Tuesday, 9/26/17. 4) Review sh section.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Treat time. (Ann, Miriel) talk to Ms. Chang, please. A Google folder of pronunciation videos has been shared with you this morning. Please inform Ms. Chang of your intention to retake. 2) Quick review (19 characters). 3) Go over (‘sh’) section. 4) Dictation (syllables) + Practice (writing, listening, reading). 5) Sounding out (syllables + phone numbers).

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (9/18/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can showcase my mastery of knowing Chinese counting principle. 3) I can say colors in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Review 4 learned color terms. 2) Quiz #2 (11 colors, 4 sibling terms): Monday, 9/25/17. 3) Oral presentation: Tuesday, 9/26/17. 4) Art project: Thursday, 9/28/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Take one copy of art project handout. 2) Pass out colors flash cards. Teach (hong se, hei se, bai se, huang se). 3) Teach (shang, nian ji). 4) Write sentence #6 + Read sentences #1-#6.
2. 1) Quiz #1. 2) If time is available, try Tangram game (day 2).
