Procedures for 9/20/17

 

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (9/20/17)

Objectives: I can understand speed as a rate and apply contextual meaning to m and b.
Homework: Section 2.2.2 Page 71 (#2-63 to #2-67).
Procedure:
1. 1) (1P) Return papers + treat time (Sam, Emma W., Natalie, Sofia, Michael, Mia, Miranda). (3P: Alaina / Christina, Jack, Elise, Caroline, Grace B.) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Bring in your calculator this Friday, please. 2) Check H/W. Collect. 3) Go over challenging questions from yesterday. 4) More practice of writing an equation from table….

2. 1) Core: 2-53~2-55. 2) Closure + 2.2.2 Math Notes (2nd Box) — Writing the Equation of a Line from a Graph. 3) (3P) BeeTV Announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/20/17)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of (g / k / h / j / q / x) consonants and saying phone number in Chinese. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test.
Homework: 1) VC activities (Rearranging numbers + Math Equations) will open in class tomorrow. They are due at the end of the class tomorrow, 9/22/17. Need to know all 17 characters (12 number characters + 7 math operators).
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Complete quiz #6 during E/I, if you do not get it done in class. 2) Go over study guide + PB VC activities. Click Ms. Chang’s daily blog link to read details of tomorrow’s work. 3) Quiz #6.
2. Quiz #6 oral part <=> Individual / pair work: know all 7 operator characters + math flash cards + read text passages….

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (9/20/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can say colors in Chinese. 3) I can understand requirements for art project. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Yo-Yo.
Homework: 1) Review 11 learned colors. 2) Practice sounding out sentences #1-#8.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (8 colors). 2) Teach (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se, xi huan). 3) Go over art project handout.
2. 1) Video clip: Chinese yoyo. 2) Pass out / go over animals handout. Write sentence #7-#8.
