Procedures for 9/6/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (9/6/17)

Objectives: I can understand the input/output nature of relations and begin to understand the possible limitations for the domain and range.
Homework: Section 1.2.4 pages 30-31 (#1-66 ~ 1-70).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Inform Ms. Chang of your intention to sign up for Honors Geometry next year. Reiterate key points for the answer to 1-47 (1P: Matt B.). Showcase (1P: Sydney’s / Natalie’s, Emma G.’s, Mia’s; 3P: Marco’, Christian’s, Elise’s, Breanna L.’s, Grace R.’s) work. No visual estimation of points in 1-50!! 2) Check H/W. Collect.

2. 1) Lesson 1.2.4: Problem #1-62 to #1-63 + 1-64 (Closure). 2) Quiz #3. 3) Finish incomplete work (Page 23, #1-45 / Page 27, #1-56) for your own benefit… 4) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/6/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say greetings terms accurately and fluently. 2) I can count numbers from zero to one hundred in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Quiz #3 (b / p / m / f / d / t / n / l): Friday, 9/8/17. 3) Know 12 learned Chinese characters and counting principle. Prepare for number conversion tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take one number table handout. Log in your chromebook. Introduce 2 websites for tone drilling. Show 4 tones slides. (Jimmy) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review Chinese characters one to ten. 3) Teach characters (零, 百) & count principle. 3) Count from zero to one hundred. 4) Telephone dictation.

2. Quiz #2 (greetings terms) <=> Pair activity (review greetings terms + dictation consonants / vowels + sounding out loud + Multiple choice questions). Make sure you read Lesson One text pages 1-6.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (9/6/17)

Objectives: I can write simple Chinese number characters. 2)
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review 12 learned number characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (greetings terms + 11 picture characters). 2) Test #1. 3) Teach numbers (三, 四).
