Procedures for 10/3/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (10/3/17)

Objectives: I can simplify exponential expressions.
Homework: 1) Chapter Two review worksheet is due tomorrow. 2) Section 3.1.1 page 97 (#3-6 ~ #3-11).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return team test papers & Homework papers. (3P: Tim, Caroline, Jack) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Explain Review Worksheet. 2) Motivational Monday (Types of Teamwork). (3) In class discussion (pages 95-96 #3-1 to #3-4). Check answer key.

2. 1) Take one netbook. Kahoot review game. 2) Work on Homework. 3) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/3/17)

Objectives: 1) I can input Chinese characters. 2) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
Homework: 1) Review (‘ua’, ‘uo’, ‘üe’) sections. 2) Quiz #9 (compound #1): Friday, 10/6/17. 3) Google Docs share your typing with Ms. Chang before class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take one copy of typing template. (Ian, Jesse, Jimmy, Chris) turn in your Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet, please. (Rachel, Jesse, Isabel, Joe, Vincent, Zach, Neela / Jacob + Jadon) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Teach (‘ua’, ‘uo’, ‘üe’) sections.
2. 1) Dictation / Sounding out loud. 2) Mid-Autumn video clips. 3) Typing practice. (4) Sample tea + pomelo. Return Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (10/3/17)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy. 2) I can complete a student survey. 3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Review 3 learned greeting term. 2) Test #1: Tuesday, 10/17/2017.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one greetings handout. Any signature slip? Go over fire drill procedure. 2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.
2. 1) Complete Student Survey. Collect. 2) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin / teach Chinese greetings terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).
