Procedures for 10/4/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (10/4/17)

Objectives: I can work with zero and negative exponents.
Homework: Section 3.1.2 Pages 100-101 Problems (#3 – 19 to #3 – 24)
& 3.1.2 Math Notes — Laws of Exponents are due on Friday, 10/6/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Turn in Chapter Two Review worksheet for completion. Take a netbook. (Breanna, Jack*, Elise*, Caroline* / Carly, , Tim) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Go over types of problems for tomorrow’s chapter test. 2) Kahoot game. 3) Check H/W. Questions? Collect.
2. 1) In class discussion: 3.1.2 (Day 1) Pages 98-99 Problems #3 – 13 through #3 – 16. 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/4/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 2) I can greet people with polite expressions. 3) I can self-assess my listening proficiency. 4) I can type in Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Know all 15 learned characters by Friday, 10/6/17. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Typing practice is due at the end of the class period today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Treat time (Hallie, Jadon). (Isabel, Neela / Jesse, Joe, Zach, Rachel, Vincent) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Check PB for typing grade. Check your Google Doc for Ms. Chang’s comments. 2) Quick review (10 characters).
2. 1) Teach (老, 师,同,学,们). 2) Seatwork: complete / fix your typing work / play a consonant quiz for fun.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (10/4/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can gain geographic knowledge about China and its major cities.
Homework: 1) Review 7 learned terms. 2) Complete China reading packet in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? Take one set of China reading packet.
2. 1) Review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi). 2) Teach (Lao Shi, Zai Jian, Wu An, Wan An). 3) Pair activity.
3. 1) Go over China reading packet. 2) Video clip: General Introduction to China.
