Procedures for 10/10/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (10/10/17)

Objectives: I can solve equations using algebra tiles..
Homework: Section 3.2.1 Page 107 (#3 – 33 to #3 – 38).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return homework and quiz #9 papers. Treat time (1P: G1; 3P: G5). Bring in your calculator tomorrow, please. Go over answer key to the analogies. 2) Bell work. 3) Check H/W. Questions? Collect.
2. 1) Resource managers get a bag of algebra tiles, colored pencils and equation mat. In-class discussion (Section 3.2.1 Pages 102-103 #3-25 to #3-27). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/10/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 2) I can greet people with polite expressions.
Homework: 1) Know 20 characters by Thursday, 10/12/17. 2) Review (un, uan) sections. 3) Quiz #9 (Compound Vowels (2)): Tuesday, 10/17/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. (Sofia, Sam) talk to Ms. Chang, please. There will be study guide available to you and virtual classroom activities to complete tomorrow. Check portal page for details tomorrow. 2) Teach (un, uan) sections. 3) Go over Lesson Two text passages.
2. 1) Dictation. 2) Go over mini-dialogue. 3) Pass out business cards / for pair activity. 3) Sound out syllables.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (10/10/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools and students.
Homework: Review 18 learned terms + 4 characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (16 terms + 2 characters). 2) Teach (Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu dong). 3) Teach (口, 火).
3. 1) Video clip: Chinese school. 2) Culture reading: Chinese schools.
