HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (11/13/17)

Objectives: I can rewrite equations to solve word problems.
Homework: 1) Section 4.1.2 Page 152 (#4-25 to #4-30) & 4.1.2 Math Notes — The Equal Values Method. 2) Formative Quiz #14 (Solving Equations–substitution): Friday, 11/17/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Sit on your new seat, please. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Matt, Sarah, Marco, Sam, Kane; 3P: Logan) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Treat time (1P: Michael, Emma G., Natalie; 3P: Marko, Christian, Christina). 2) Inspirational Monday video clip.

Objectives: I can have fun explore Chinese traditional painting.
Homework: Skit performance tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. 2) Sit on your seat and wait for your art supplies. 3) Pay attention to Mrs. Chang’s (Ms. Jiang’s) demonstration and instructions, please.

** Put your stuff either inside your desk compartment or against the wall in the back side of the classroom.

** Try not to stand up or move around during the session. There is a cup of water on your desk. You spill the water, you will have to clean it it up.

** At the end of the session, dump your water into the bucket and leave your brush on the desk in the back side of the classroom.

Objectives: 1) I can define variables and write equations to solve word problems. 2) I can make connections between a graph, table, and the equations of a system of equations and how to write equations to solve word problems. 3) I can solve a simple system of equations.
Homework: Section 4.1.1 Pages 147-148 (#4-14 to 4-19) & Page 146 Math Notes.
Procedure:
1. 1) Collect your cell phone. Get one set of TI-84 graphing calculator instructions. Same material has been e-mailed to you. Turn in your Chapter 3 Review Worksheet, please. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect.
