HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (11/16/17)

Objectives: I can develop the elimination method for solving systems of equations.
Homework: 1) Section 4.2.3 Pages 168-169 (#4-60 to #4-65) & 4.2.3 Math Notes –Systems of Linear Equation. 2) Formative Quiz #14 (substitution): tomorrow. Formative Quiz #15: Tuesday, 11/21/17 (no TI-84 instruction sheet is allowed).
1. 1) Return papers. (1P: Vlad, Sheiry, Josh; 3P: Grace B., Grace R., Lidia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Go over common homework problems. 4) Go over Math Notes (scatter plot).
2. 1) In class discussion (4.2.3 #4-46 and 4-47, 4.2.3 #4-55 through #4-58, not using algebra tiles). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.


MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/16/17)

Objectives: 1) I can name school supplies in Chinese. 2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Sight read pinyin sentences tomorrow. 2) Know 5 school supplies by Tuesday, 11/21/2017.
1. 1) Greetings. Any permission slip? Any lunch decision? (Vince, Jesse, Jadon, Joey, Ian, Miriel, Miriam, Jimmy, Sam, Zach, Sofia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Take one set of Review2 handout.
2. 1) Teach (笔, 毛笔, 书, 书包, 尺). 2) Teach Review Sounds2 sentences #1-#5. 3) Sight read Review Sounds1 pinyin sentences. 4) Pair practice: naming 5 different school supplies.


MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (11/16/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy. 3) I can enjoy exploring Chinese folk art of paper cut.
Homework: Review 11 learned terms.
1. 1) Any signature slip? (Annaka) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Wu An, Wan An).
2. 1) Video clips: Chinese painting + Chinese calligraphy. 2) Showcase artifacts. 3) Cutting longevity paper pattern.
