HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (11/21/17)

Objectives: I can make connections between solving equations, graphing, manipulating expressions, and problem solving while reviewing chapters 1-4.
Homework: Section 4.3.1 Pages 182-183 (#4-98 to #4-103).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Sofia, Sam, Sarah, Mia, Sydney, Natalie; 3P: Lidia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Formative #15.
2. 1) Seat work: homework: 4-98 to 4-103. 2) In class discussion (4-87 to 4-97, skip 95). 3) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/21/17)

Objectives: I can understand the significance of a study abroad/immersion language program is.
Homework: Know 9 characters by Monday, 11/27/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Complete your Lesson Four oral exam and Sight reading pinyin sentences during your lunch time today, please. 2) Presentation (Grace Bird) + Q/A.
2. 1) Teach sentences #6-#10. 2) Teach (这, 那, 什么). 3) Conversation practice.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (11/21/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings. 2) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about fast food in China.
Homework: Review 18 learned terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return China reading packet. Take one copy of 20 Chinese characters handout. Collect your map from China reading packet. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (dui bu qi, mei guan xi, shang ke, xia ke).
2. 1) Video clip: Paper-cut. 2) Culture reading: Chinese food. 3) Pass out / go over square papers.
