Procedures for 11/27/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (11/27/17)

Objectives: I can make connections between solving equations, graphing, manipulating expressions, and problem solving while reviewing chapters 1-4.
Homework: 1) Section 4.3.1 Pages 183-184 (#4-104 to #4-109). 2) Lesson Four team test: Thursday, 11/30/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Miranda; 3P: Brian–absolute value + team test) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Please consider to bring in canned food. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Inspirational Monday video clip. 4) Put your backpack / stuff against the wall or back area for safer, easy moving around in the classroom.

2. 1) Around the World (#4-88, #4-89/#4-93, #4-92, #4-96, #97). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/27/17)

Objectives: 1) I can name school supplies in Chinese. 2) I can sight read sentences accurately and fluently.
Homework: 1) Know 9 characters by Wednesday, 11/29/17. 2) Review sentences #1-#10. 3) Conversation questions Q/A. 4) Sight reading Review Sounds2 sentences: Monday, 12/4/2017.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take one Conversation Questions handout. (Zach, Vince, Jesse) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (5 characters + pinyin sentences #1-#10). 3 Teach sentences #11-#15.
2. 1) Teach (这, 那, 什么). 2) Go over conversation questions handout. 3) Pair practice + Q/A.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (11/27/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greetings terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review 22 terms. 3) Test #1: Friday, 12/1/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (18 terms). 2) Teach (qi li, jing li, zuo xia, qing xia).
2. 1) Go over 20 Chinese characters handout. 2) Go over square paper. 3) Teach (山, 木). 3) Culture reading: Fast food in China / Famous Chinese dishes.
