Procedures for 12/4/2017

 

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (12/4/17)

Objectives: I can represent exponential growth with a diagram, table, and graph to write a description and make predictions..
Homework: 1) Section 5.1.1 Pages 200-201 (#5-12 ~ #5-17). 2) Chapter four individual test: Thursday, 12/7/17. 3) Chapter Four Review worksheet is due this Wednesday, 12/6/17 (preferably turn in tomorrow).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Sheiry, Natalie; 3P: Emma) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Go over problem categories for chapter 4 individual test (post under resource link tab in Ms. Chang’s daily blog–HS portal page). 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 2) Motivational Monday video clip.
2. 1) Pass out a resource page answer document / In class discussion (#5-3 ~ #5-4). Collect answer document. 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement.

 

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (12/4/17)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read pinyin sentences accurately and fluently. 2) I can create a skit independently or in pairs. 3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.
Homework: 1) Know 18 characters by tomorrow for writing practice. 2) Skit is due this Friday. 3) Lesson Five vocabulary quiz: Friday, 12/8/17. 4) Lesson Five chapter test: Thursday/Friday, 12/14 or 12/15/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Use your lunch time to complete sight reading if you do not get to do it in class. 2) Conversation question modeling.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> 1) Practice sight reading and wait for your turn. 2) Draft your skit. 3) Practice conversation questions.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (12/4/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers in Chinese. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can sample tea. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about early Chinese inventions.
Homework: 1) Review 16 Chinese characters. 2) Test #2: Friday, 12/8/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return test #1 / Chinese character writing papers. 2) Quick review (12 characters). 3) Teach (五, 六, 七, 八). 4) Audio file (1 to 7).
2. 1) Video clips: Compass / Printing. 2) Sampling tea.

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (12/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can represent exponential growth with a diagram, table, and graph. 2) I can write descriptions of exponential growth based on the patterns in their tables, recognize patterns of exponential growth, and use my descriptions to make predictions..
Homework: Section 5.1.1 Pages 199-200 (#5-6 to #5-11) & 5.1.1 Math Notes — Elimination Method.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return homework papers + team test papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Mia; 3P: Lidia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Discussion (team test).
2. 1) In class discussion (pages 195-196 #5.1 & #5.2). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement. 3) Seat work: Homework / Chapter Four Review worksheet.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (12/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can express possession in Chinese. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Chinese characters writing assignment. 2) Sight reading pinyin sentences: Monday, 12/4/17. 2) Know all 18 characters by Monday, 12/4/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. 2) Quick review (13 characters). 3) Writing practice. 2. 1) Teach (橡皮, 的, 知道). 2) Read text passages on pages 32-33. 3) Go over oral exam 3rd round of question. 4) Conversation question practice.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (12/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about tea.
Homework: 1) Review 4 Chinese number characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return writing assignment. 2) Quick review. 3) Test #1.
2. 1) Teach (一, 二, 三, 四). 2) Video clip: Tea. 3) Showcase tea.
