Procedures for 1/3/18

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (1/3/18)

Objectives: I can write equations for geometric sequences and connect them to exponential functions.
Homework: 1) Section 5.3.2 Pages 232-233 (#5-101 ~ #5-105). 2) 2018 New Year’s Resolutions worksheet is due tomorrow. 3) Formative #17 (Identifying sequences and generator): tomorrow. 4) Formative #18 (Geometric Sequence, etc.): Friday, 1/5/18. 5) Chapter 5 team test: Monday, 1/8/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Sarah, Kane / Sheiry; 3P: Lidia, Breanna, Brian) talk to Ms. Chang, please. New tardiness policy: all students who are tardy must report to the office and receive a pink admit slip before reporting to 1st period. HR teachers will not be able to enter tardiness now. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Monday motivation video. 4) Pass out / go over 2018 New Year’s Resolutions worksheet.
2. 1) In class discussion (#5-97 + textbook page 232 Math Notes). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement. 3) Go over sample problems for Formative #17. 4) Seat work: H/W (pages 232-233: #5-101 ~ #5-105).

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (1/3/18)

Objectives: 1) I can review for my midterm. 2) I can make 2018 new year’s resolutions.
Homework: 1) Midterm: Thursday (listening + writing), 1/11/18 and Friday (MC: passage reading + culture reading & Grammar Corrections & Scrambled Sentences), 1/12/18. Oral exam: Tuesday, 1/16 + Wednesday, 1/17/18. 2) Lesson Six vocabulary quiz: Tuesday, 1/16/18. Lesson Six chapter test (writing): Tuesday, 1/23/18. Lesson Six chapter test (oral): Wednesday, 1/24/18. 3) Complete 3 culture reading exit slips, please. 4) Family picture is due this Friday!
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Take a copy of first semester character list. (Neela / Sam / Jimmy + Jesse / anyone who plans for Lesson Five chapter test retake) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (character list).

2.  Pass out / go over 2018 New Year’s Resolutions.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (1/3/18)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can gain culture knowledge about fast food chain in China.
Homework: 1) Review 11 colors. 2) Quiz #2: Monday, 1/8/18. 3) Oral presentation: Tuesday, 1/16/18 and Wednesday, 1/17/18. 4) Art project: Thursday, 1/18/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (8 colors + 4 sibling terms). Take one copy of art project handout. 2) Teach (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se). 3) Teach (xi huan). Write sentence #7. Read sentences #1-#7.
2. Culture reading: The History of McDonald in China.
