Procedures for 3/14/18

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (3/14/18)

Objectives: I can sketch the graph of a quadratic function, find the x-intercepts of a parabola by factoring the corresponding quadratic equation.
Homework: Section 8.2.2 Page 394 (#8-69~~8-75) & Math Notes — Zero Product Property.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Sam, Brandon, Lily, Emma G., Emma W., Matt) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Go over answer key to yesterday’s in-class activity. 2) Check H/W. Questions? 3) Quick review (Complete Factoring)
2. 1) Ms. Chang’s in class direct instruction (8.2.2 WS). 2) (3P) BeeTV announcement + Monday motivational video.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (3/14/18)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.
Homework: 1) VC activities are due today. 2) Practice your oral exam if you have not done so today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. (Rachel, Jacob, Jadon, Chris, Megumi, Miriel) prepare to take your oral exam today. Take one copy of each culture reading articles. Return when you are done. 2) Go over study guide. 3) Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> practice oral exam questions + complete all VC activities + practice writing problems + culture reading.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (3/14/18)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools. 3) I can explore Chinese traditional folk art of cutting paper patterns.
Homework: 1) Unit 1 (Greetings) chapter test: Friday, 3/23/18. 2) Review learned 18 greetings terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Teach (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).
2. 1) Video clip: Chinese schools in Beijing. 2) Showcase artifacts (paper-cut products). 3) Cutting paper patterns.
