HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (3/15/18)

Objectives: 1) I can find the x-intercepts of a parabola by factoring the corresponding quadratic equation and use the x-intercepts to sketch a quadratic function. 2) I can find the x-intercepts and vertex of a parabola.
use square roots to solve an equation.
Homework: 1) Section 8.2.3 Page 397 (#8-87 ~ #8-88). 2) Chapter 8 team test: Friday, 3/23/18. Individual test: Tuesday, 3/27/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Mia; 3P: Elise, Kevin) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Formative #28. 4) Complete Factoring Practice B worksheet + in-class 8.2.2 worksheet from yesterday. Collect. 5) Section 8.2.2 Math Notes (5th box, page 393)
2. In class discussion (#8-77 ~ #8-81).

MS 5P Chinese I Class (3/15/18)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about China.
Homework: 1) Study your chapter test. 2) Lesson Nine character definitions. 3) Turn in your Lesson Eight character worksheet tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Get a set of Lesson Nine character worksheet. (Hallie, Calvin, Becky, Hudson, Jesse. Zach, Sam, Vince) get ready to take your oral in class. (Sofia, Jesse, Neela / Jimmy, Isabel) report to Ms. Chang during E/I today. (Vince, Joey, John??) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Go over textbook pages 66-69 + 74 / 76. 3) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> Study + Work on Lesson Nine character definitions.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (3/15/18)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools. 3) I can hae fun exploring Chinese folk art of cutting paper patterns.
Homework: Review learned 22 greeting terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Teach (Qi Li, Jing Li, Qing Zuo, Zuo Xia). .
2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese school system. 2) Cutting paper patterns. Collect as grade.
