HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (4/16/18)

Objectives: 1) I can use the Zero Product Property to solve quadratic equations. 2) I can develop the method of completing the square..
Homework: 1) Section 9.1.1 Page 420 (#9-6 ~ #9-11) + Math Notes (Zeros and Roots of Quadratics). 2) Formative #29: tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) .Collect your cell phone. (1P: Brandon; 3P: Kevin) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2-hour delayed start on this Wednesday and Thursday for ELA testing. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect. 3) Practice problems for quiz tomorrow. 4) Monday motivational video.

Homework: 1) Complete culture reading tonight. Will go over answer key tomorrow. 2) Practice your oral exam if you will not take it today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. (Jacob + Joey / Jimmy + Vince / Chris ) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (Rachel, Megumi, Hudson, Hallie, Neela, John, Jadon, Becky) take your oral in class today, (?? / Halle, Sofia) take your oral at 6P today. (Vince, Sam, Joey, Chris, Zach, Jesse, Isable, Miriel) take oral exam in class tomorrow. (Miriam, Jacob, Calvin / Ian, Jimmy) take your oral exam at 6P lunch period tomorrow. 2) Model oral exam.

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain culture knowledge about legend of Chinese zodiac animals. 3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.
Homework: 1) Practice reading your sentences. 2) Oral presentation: Wednesday, 4/18/18 and Thursday 4/19/18. Art project is due on Friday, 4/20/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get one Art project handout. Return test #2 /quiz #1 papers. 2) Teach (xi huan). 3) Pass out and go over sports and animals handout. Write sentences #7-#8. 4) Read sentences #1-#8.

Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Marco, Matt; 3P: Breanna) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review test.

MS 5P Chinese I Class (4/13/18)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can present my skit.
Homework: 1) Complete exit slips. 2) Study for your chapter test.
Procedure:

Homework: 1) Summative test: tomorrow. 2) Section 8.2.5 Completing the Square H/W W/S is due on Monday, 4/16/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Natalie, Lily, Matt / Kane, Michael, Marco; 3P: Breanna, Jack) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Students who went on field trip need to complete Air Test Released Problems packet. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect.

MS 5P Chinese I Class (4/10/18)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can take an assessment to measure my growth in Mandarin Chinese since school started last year.
Homework: 1) Grammar corrections is due on Thursday, 4/12/18. 2) Know all learned characters for writing practice tomorrow. 3) Chapter test moves to Wednesday, 4/18/18.
Procedure:
1. 1) Sit on your new seat, please. 3 students will get to move to the front part. Take one copy of Grammar Corrections worksheet. Sign up for your oral exam, please. Greetings. Return your fixed skit script with older version, please. Skit presentation starts from Wednesday and ends on Friday. 2) Quick review. 3) Conversation questions Q/A. 4) SLO listening + reading assessment (not for grade).
