HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (4/11/18)

Objectives: I can use completing the square to write a quadratic equation in vertex form (graphing form).
Homework: 1) Section 8.2.5 Pages 406-407 (#8-107 ~ #8-110). 2) Formative #29 (Completing the Square): Monday, 4/16/18. 3) Review summative (SLO Review #1 & #2): Friday, 4/13/18
Procedure:
1. 1) Sit with your new group, please.  Return papers. Collect your cell phone. (1P: Michael, Marco, Mia, Emma G., Natalie, Jordan, Lily, Miranda; 3P: Lidia, Breanna, Brian, Elise, Maria, Jordan, Grace R.) stay at 2B/4B today and tomorrow, please. 2) Check H/W. Questions? Collect.
2. Review / practice vertex form + In class discussion (#8-98 ~ #8-101).

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (4/11/18)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can demonstrate my growth of listening comprehension in Mandarin Chinese. 3) I can talk about sports.
Homework: 1) Study for your oral exam/chapter test. 2) Grammar worksheet is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. (Hudson/Calvin; Becky/Izzy; Jadon/Zach; Megumi/Halle, Sofia / Hallie) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Writing practice. 4) Go over sentence patterns on conversation questions handout.
2. 1) Teach (走, 忙, 喂). 2) Return your packet + go over SLO listening assessment.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (4/11/18)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese leisure activities + traditional sports. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Practice reading your sentences. 2) Test #2: tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (20 characters). 2) Teach (baba, mama, gege, jiejie, meimei, didi, liang, he). 3) Write sentence #4. 4) Read sentences #1-#4.
2. 1) Video clips: Chinese yo-yo. 2) Showcase artifacts (chess sets, mahjong, Go, Chinese yo-yo, diabolo).
