Homework
Homework will be written in the assignment notebook nightly. I will sign the notebook each day and ask that you do the same for the first semester. This will allow us to monitor homework more closely. Homework is graded based on completion points. 5 points for completed homework, 3 for partial and 0 for incomplete homework. Students need to complete their homework independently with assistance as needed. Approximately 1 - 1/12 hours should be spent on homework. As a general rule, complete Science and Socila Studies homework first then Language Arts and Math. If homework exceeds the amount of time above, please send a note back to school.
Math
Work on basic math facts nightly for at least 10 minutes!
If one hasn’t already been sent to school, a 1 inch 3 ring binder will be need for Math.
Language Arts
You will find weekly spelling in the Language Arts link. Spelling will be posted typically Monday or Tuesday. Spelling tests will be be most Fridays.
We will be doing a Author Study the first semester. Look for the information to come home and be posted in the next few weeks.
Don’t forget to check for daily homework in the assignment book and on Progress Book.
