All we can say is “WOW!” about our PumpK1n Day with Mrs. Ciolek’s kindergartners and the first graders.  We mixed things up to pay tribute to everyone’s favorite October gourd – the PUMPKIN!  We shuffled the students and the activities and each child rotated among six stations in three different classrooms.  They completed logic problems, experimented with floating and sinking (Did you know a pumpkin floats?), moved rhythmically, made and ate “Upside Down Pumpkin Pie,” played a card game and constructed a pumpkin whose traits were determined by the answers to certain questions!  The kids were really on the move as they changed activities every fifteen minutes – and all pronounced the morning a success!

Enjoy the pictures!
