When I Become President…

Mrs. Holt’s and Mrs. Stucky’s classes are working on writing out their “Presidential Platform” ideas…essentially, what they would do to make Central better if they were to be elected President of Central School. I have taken time to read through quite a few of the papers and I must admit, they have come up with many good ideas. Mind you, there are quite a few who promise to extend recess and lunch (that certainly would get my vote if I were still 11 years old!), but many also include that they would extend the day to do so, so as not to take time from their core subjects. One offered a cool idea that would make the daily bus routes more equitable. I was very impressed by the well thought ideas and would love to see a few of these students on our country’s presidential ballot in around 24 years!
