My name is Morgan and I have been teaching for 7 complete years. I graduated with a Masters in Education in 2008 from Baldwin Wallace College. I chose to study Educational Technology there. In 2003, I graduated from Heidelberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I currently maintain 2 teaching licenses (Intervention Specialist and Early Childhood Education) and one endorsement (Reading). In 1999, I graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. I've spent the last 6 years teaching at Hilton School is Brecksville, Ohio. I've taught a wide variety of students each with unique and defining characteristics. I've had the pleasure of learning about and working with students with autism, Down syndrome, 2q37 Deletion Syndrome, cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, speech and language impairments, learning disabilities, Asperger's syndrome, ODD, and ADHD (inattentive, hyperactive, and combined types). I currently work with students with moderate to intensive special needs.

Week 4 of the Global Read Aloud Project

This week we finished up chapter 5 in Flat Stanley and took assessments to see if we understood the story.  There were a lot of great scores on these assessments and I was impressed with the kids’ comprehension of this chapter book!  What a great book to start the year with! Although the Global Read Aloud project was supposed to last just 4 weeks, we will c0ntinue for at least one more week while we receive back the Flat Stanleys we mailed out.  We will also start to talk about our Flat Stanley bag and what Stan has been doing…

Week 2 of the Global Read Aloud Project!

We continued to work on the Global Read Aloud Project by reading chapter 3 in the book Flat Stanley.  We colored and cut out our own Flat Stanleys to send to our families and friends all over the state and country!  We’re sending one out to Missouri to Mrs. E’s son Doug, aka PFC Eschweiler, in the U.S. Marines.  We’re even sending one out to Las Vegas, Nevada and one to Canada! 9-15-11 Dear Parents, As you have read through my summer mail and in our blog, we will be doing a project called the GLOBAL READ ALOUD project.  The Global Read Aloud project starts on Monday, Sept. 19th and runs for approximately 4 weeks. Intro. to the Global Read Aloud Project with Flat Stanley!

~Global Read Aloud Project~ Flat Stanley~ The Global Read Aloud Project is an international project in it’s second year. You can read more about it and see activities from last year at http://globalreadaloudproject.wikispaces.com The Project will begin on Sept. 14th and run for 4 weeks.
