We are still working on our Electricity and Magnetism unit this week. We will finish the electricity portion this week. We will start magnetism next week and will probably test towards the end of next week or the beginning of the following week. On Friday of this week, we will have a special guest that will introduce the following unit for us (Snow days pushed us off schedule a bit). Pam Taylor will be coming in from the Metroparks to introduce Ecosystems to us.
We will be reading the story, “Little by Little” this week in Language Arts. It is an autobiography about a girl stricken with polio and how she is treated by 5th graders at a new school. It takes place in the 1940’s and gives students an interesting view of school back then. Please see the skills page for more details.
Please remember that the second semester homework policy is now in effect. Homework that is turned in on time will receive normal credit. Homework that is one day late, will receive a 1 letter grade deduction. After 1 day late, homework assignments are still expected to be turned in, but will receive a zero.
