Challenge Newsletter- Week of March 25, 2013

I am back from the College of William and Mary. I loved the featured speakers and going to the various breakout sessions.

Some of the topics included: An analysis of the Gettysburg Address, the Socratic Method of questioning, How to teach gifted kids resilience,  Empowering kids to take ownership of their learning, A study of ancient roots and ruins, and Problem Based Learning.

*My favorite speaker did an analysis of the Gettysburg Address and labeled it one of the most perfect pieces of writing ever made. Did you know it’s only ten sentences long? Did you know that there is a sonnet hidden in the work? If you’d like to read my notes on this topic, let me know, and I will email them to you.
