ALL ROUGH DRAFTS DUE THURSDAY. Drafts are due at the BEGINNING of class. You will lose the points if you do not have it ready to go.
- FINAL DRAFTS DUE MONDAY, APRIL 19
- The following items need to be turned in using the order listed below:
- TOP - Rubric, grid & name facing up
- final draft
- final Works Cited page
- rough draft with partner revision sheet
- revised outline
- primary & secondary source notes
- actual hard copies of your secondary sources (your articles)
- DON’T FORGET MLA FORMAT - we’ve gone over this a million times, but just in case:
- 12 point font
- double space the ENTIRE paper, including Works Cited page
- Heading on first page only (with your name, date, my name, class)
- Header on every page with your last name and page # (including the Works Cited page, which is last)
- Every concrete detail (quote, paraphrase or summary) must be accompanied by a correct citation (author or article title in quotes space page number [digits only, no "pg."])
- every source you cite in your paper must appear on the Works Cited; conversely, only sources actually used in your paper should appear on the Works Cited
- USE YOUR PACKETS FOR VISUAL EXAMPLES!

If you finish your intro. early, or just want to be proactive and work on your paper over break, the notes on the body paragraphs & conclusions are below. Of course, there are also some good examples and notes in your research packet as well.
- REMINDERS
- *each of your 3 arguable points needs at least 1-2 citations from the short story (your primary source) and 1-2 citations from your secondary sources (your articles)
- *you must include commentary (explanations) of how your citations (concrete details) support your thesis

Now that you are finished with your revised outlines, it is time to work on your introductions. Use your research packets on pages 9 & 10 and the notes below to assist you.

It is also the point where you will need to revise your thesis. Make sure your thesis is a clear reflection of your three arguable points and body paragraphs (based on your revised outline).

Your bibliography cards & PRIMARY source (the short story) notes are due Tuesday, March 23rd. Remember, instead of bibliography cards, you may choose to create a preliminary Works Cited page instead. Just make sure to letter your sources for the notecards if you decide to do this. You will probably want to use Noode Tools advanced to help youo ut.
