The last two days have been very exciting in science. From testing diapers to exploding coke bottles, no doubt was left that science is the best class.  Check out the video below.  What do think about the experiments?

Some helpful Invention Convention Items!

Energy Convention is coming to the 6th Grade White Team on Tuesday, February 26 from
6:30-8:00pm.

To help defray some of the cost of the Convention, we will be selling refreshments and treats at the snack bar.
If you are willing, please consider donating any of the following:

• Bottled water, soda in cans, juice boxes (Valenti’s Homeroom)
• Individually wrapped candy (M&M packages, Skittles packages, candy bars, etc.) (Erdman’s Homeroom)
• Individually wrapped bakery (plastic wrapped brownies or cookies, etc.) (Piechowiak’s Homeroom)
• Individual bags of potato chips, pretzels, etc. (Battista’s Homeroom)

Please send your donations of the above items in before Monday, February 25.

We also need a few people to help at the snack bar during the event. Interested? Email

Many have been asking me about Invention Convention… That got me thinking!  I was reading an article about the goofy gadgets at the 2008 CES in Las Vegas.  Some of these ideas seem strange, but they work.  The market for these products is endless.  Whatever your idea, stay with it and be patient.

What a great game!  You have to try it.  Follow the instructions at http://www.linerider.com.  The only limit to this game is your imagination.  You can draw ramps, hills, and loops to name a few.  Beware though, you may want to pay attention to Newton’s Laws of Motion!
