World History

This is a required course typically taken during the sophomore year.  The students will study human civilizations to modern day, with emphasis being placed on political activities, social relationships, economic changes, religious beliefs, and cultural achievements.  Current events are always utilized to reflect on the historical evidence presented.

 Below are listed the general guidelines given to all of my students at the beginning of the year/semester. 

Classroom Guidelines 

In order that I can teach you and you can all learn I have a set of very basic rules to ensure an orderly and effective classroom.  These include:           

1.  Take care of your classroom

2.  Be polite and respectful

3.  Bring required materials every day

4.  Stay seated until you are dismissed 

Expectations:

You are to read assignments and complete homework or in-class assignments and they are to be your own.

Do not expect a hall pass.  Use the restroom, go to your locker, get a drink of water etc…between classes. 

It is your responsibility to obtain assignments when returning from an absence.  You will have the same number of days to make up the work as you were gone.  Missed tests or quizzes should be completed as soon as possible.

Class privileges may be earned throughout the year for positive behavior.  More information will be given as necessary.
