Introduction

Picture this: you are presented with the task of creating a form of mass media about one of the amazing early civilizations in Africa. Just think, a beautiful landscape on a travel brochure or perhaps a movie plot starring Lindsay Lohan as a Peace Corps volunteer trying to restore the livelihood of the natives. It is all up to you: your movie, brochure, or comic - your creation.

The Quest  

(Choose one of the following:)


Task #1: Create a travel brochure describing the geographic location, major religions, and cultural contributions of Great Zimbabwe.

Task #2: Create a movie poster and a video jacket that will communicate a fictional movie created to teach about Ancient Mali.

Task #3: Create a comic strip that will communicate a fictional story about Ancient Songhai.

Phase 3 - Completion of the Task

Now that you have gathered all of the information, you must create your project.  There will be no class time for this, so use your time in here wisely.  Remember, the final project is due on Friday, November 11.
