QUESTIONS:

1.  After looking at the people from the different regions in Vietnam, what can you say about their clothing?  Explain how the clothing worn in the north differs from that which is worn in the south.

2.  Consider the geography of Vietnam.  How is the geography of the northern regions different and/or similar to that of the south?

3.  Note two different religions you detected through viewing the photographs.  Explain how you determined the religion you claim to be present in Vietnam.

4.  Take a good look at the various markets presented in the photographs.  How is this different than shopping in the United States?  Please take some time in answering this because you may note similarities as well as differences.  Comment on the products, locations, and even perhaps the impact on both cultures based on the individual traditions.

5.  What is the most preferable form of transportation in Vietnam?

6.  What is typically worn by children when attending school?

7.  What color is worn by brides in traditional Vietnamese wedding ceremonies?

8.  Note two different agricultural products that you noticed after viewing the photographs

9.  Explain why it appears that water is present in nearly every photograph you viewed?

10.  All of us have heard about the experiences of American soldiers who fought during the Vietnam War.  From these stories we all have our own opinions about the country and its people.  How do the images you have seen show you a different side of Vietnam?  In other words, what was the most interesting thing you learned from these photographs? (I am expecting a good, detailed answer here!!)
