Mrs. Wilson’s World

Folktales From Asia is our story this week. The selection is divided into three separate folk tales. Likewise, our class is divided into three groups, to practice and recite the assigned folk tale. We will be recording the folk tale, and the recordings will be linked to my blog as a podcast later this week. The students have a lot of fun with this!

We will continue working on our personal narrative writing pieces, as well as review simple and compound sentences.

This week in Language Arts, we started theme 2 of our series, with the story We’ll Never Forget You, Roberto Clemente. We began work on our personal narrative papers today, while brainstorming why people read and write. The answers were surprising! We also discussed great introductions and conclusions for writing, which we will continue to practice throughout the year.
